Obesity is world's oldest metabolic disorder. There has been evidence of obesity in societies since the Stone Age. 40 million adult Americans weight more then above their desirable weight. Through the years, obesity has been increasing within all races and sexes from age 25 through 44. It has been determined that the development of obesity is complex relationship of factors involving genetics, culture, socioeconomic and psychological issues.
Obesity remains a major health problem in the world today. Total mortality related to obesity is predominantly a result from comorbidities (such as coronary heart disease, diabetes, hypertension etc.)

Conference was hold in Hamburg -Germany in between 31 August and 3 of September.First presentation:Construction of a Common Channel and Alimentary Loop length According to Body Mass Index and Length of the small bowel of the supermorbidly obese patients.More predictable way of weight loss.This presentation proofed that the method of adjustment of the Common channel to BMI of the patient is extremely useful and predictable.And proof again that Duodenal Switch is the most successful bariatric surgery.Second presentation:Effectiveness of Resolution of type 2 Diabetes in morbidly obese patients after Duodenal Switch.This presentation showed that DS is the most effective bariatric surgery in treatment of Diabetes regardless of duration of diabetes before surgery.
